We asked
them how we could tell them apart; it’s serious business to make sure you know
who is who in the world of TwinningIt. Joe comically mentions his bigger nose
is the difference between the two and the detail of Dan sporting a ring on his
finger with a beautiful wife by his side.

Both men had
entertaining answers when asked to talk about their relationship. First off we
asked them to describe each other in one word. Dan mentioned a sincere answer
with the word “Indescribable” while Joe simply said “Late.” Next we had them
describe their relationship Dan had some insightful words which included “Adventurous,
close, non-negotiable and hugs.” Joe described it in one sentence “I love my
boet and he loves me.” Joe then explained some personality differences; this response
had us in stitches. “I’m extroverted and outgoing, he’s married.” Dan on the other hand says he’s the humble one and Joe is the better looking one.

, while Joe’s
funniest memory floats back in time to his brother’s wedding when the Pastor referred
to Dan and his bride as Dan and Joe.
Being a twin
is the best thing since sliced cheese, but challenges do appear.
One comes in the form of self-image. Dan talks about the difficulties of finding one’s own individual identity with small things like dressing the same, or ordering the same meal; it all plays an affect. It was a fight to win your uniqueness; but both brothers think very highly of each other and are committed to serve each other. In a joshing response Joe talks about the struggle of driving in a car together. “We get through in silence or violence.”

However at
the end of the day they love each other with a radical love.
We’ll end off
with Dan’s pieces of advice he had to offer with a quote from J.R.R. Tolkien,
The Lord of the rings “It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door.
You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where
you might be swept off to.”
