We get this question quite often: “do you ever confuse
yourself with each other?”
Before (and you can tell by the word before, that the
situation has changed.) we would answer with a gracious “No” thinking, well that’s
a mindless question, we don’t share a body or a mind so obviously we would know
ourselves right?
Wrong.
and here's why (click Read More)
To explain a little more Edelweiss has these undying baby curls
framing her face- not the well behaved kind, more the ‘I’m throwing a tantrum’
kind; this was especially true during high school. Evangeline hasn’t really had this problem. Because
of this Edelweiss would always wear her hair in what we’ve termed a ‘fun bun’ while
Evangeline would have her hair loose most days. However on this day we both had
our hair up in the ‘fun bun.’
So we were standing fiddling with our hair, trying to get it
into order but the strangest thing- it wasn’t doing the job we wanted it to do.
For a few extra moments we were tugging, pulling and clipping but nothing was
really changing to the way we wanted it to look.
So you can imagine the sheer frustration when something isn’t
right and you’re trying to fix it, but it’s not working.
Realize though, at this point in time we were both at the
same place, doing the same movements, having the same thoughts in our minds
(Fix the fun bun)
You can see it coming can’t you?
Up until we had never had this moment. A never experienced before
experience; or we can call it a moment of humility.
Yup! You guessed it!
We were looking at the other twinling’s reflection the whole time! For the first time in our lives we were confused with who we were and whose reflection we were looking at in that moment.
Does the freakiness end there you ask?
No, we looked at each other and at the same time it clicked. We both knew we had been looking at the wrong reflection the whole time!

(You may now say wowzers!)
So every time we get that question, we remember this time
and think to ourselves “let’s never admit it” and answer “nope, we always know
who is who.” We don’t think there’s anything wrong with that right?
We’re kidding, we’re kidding. We normally land up telling
this story and laugh all over again.
