This is the second half of our Double Whammy week. Rejoice.
A couple of weeks ago we had a photo shoot with Tabitha, from
Illuminate Photography.
We met her through collage and we loved her! She is nothing
short of Talented. As a photographer she makes you feel comfortable and confident
which is a REALLY good thing.
The actual photo shoot was allot of fun! So this is how it
happened:
We needed some photos and she wanted to experiment, a deal
and date was made and all that was left to be done was: arrive.
The day of the photo shoot we ran late due to public
transport problems; we landed up being an hour late. We don’t suggest such
behaviour. A lesson to learn from this is: make sure you plan better. When we finally
arrived our sweet photographer was waiting for us with the brightest smile on
her face.
The plan was to buy train station tickets and wait at the
boarding platform; when a train would take off we would keep still and our
photographer would snap the photos. It was so much fun. People were watching in
wonder and looking like they were loving it as much as we were.
On a quick side note, we’ve never met such a lovely
photographer who could clearly lead you in the visions she had for the shoot.
After we got the shots from the station we hoped into the
car, headed off to the next location and did a quick change. The next place was
probably the coolest restaurant we’ve ever seen. For the life of us we can’t
remember the name; but we will tell you that the wall decoration was comic book
pages. It was on every single wall, just random pages; you could probably read
for hours.

As if the shoot couldn’t get better, it did, we got a
chocolate and Oreo milkshake as a prop (YUM) and snapped some more cool photos.
At this point we had minutes, if we haven’t mentioned yet, because we were an
hour late we had cut our time in half, leaving us with one hour left to do
everything we wanted. Time wise we were really pushing it; but we managed to
get it done.
When we looked at the time we realised Tabitha had given us
an extra half hour to complete this section of the shoot. We were very appreciative.
So we’ll take this opportunity to say thank you again. She is really brilliant
and has some wonderful ideas!
Did you get a chance to read the first half of our double whammy week? "Do you fight?"
