Our Twin Role-models

Don't we look alike?

We were looking up some twin questions this morning and came across one we haven't really been asked. 

As twins, who did you look up to?

When we saw this question it was very easy to answer, I’m sure you can guess who: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. 

In primary school we were library monitors, we had a badge and all. The library had just received a new Mary-Kate and Ashley book, of course we had to be the first one to take it out. As we were reading the book we discovered there were pictures in the middle of the book that could be taken out. We approached the librarian that worked there and asked if we could take the pictures. (we were such brave little girls) after much thought she said YES!

There were conditions to her saying yes, we were not allowed to let anyone know that she had given us permission to tear pages out of her book and we were most certainly not allowed to do this to any other book. It’s safe to say this was one of our brightest moments being a library monitor

 

The Olsen twins were the twins we wanted to be like. Their movies were on repeat, their books were always open, every Saturday morning we would wake up early to catch their animation show ‘Mary-Kate and Ashley in Action.’

It didn't stop there. We even made our own little scrap books.

To us they understood us, we had so much in common. We fully believed we would meet them one day and become best friends (cough…we still hold onto that dream, never give up right?)

Just writing this post sends the feeling of kindred spirits.
