We first met Jared last year; he’s a rad lad from Jeffery’s
Bay found on the coast of South Africa. Go Google it, it’s a beautiful place!
That changed one night in August when a few people were up late with nothing better to do than just mingle with the available people in the dining room. Yup Jared was an “available” person to talk to that night; and so a friendship started forming. We missed friend zoned and went straight into family zoned. Jared recognizes this and is happy; right Jared? (Right? No awkward jokes here)
For Evangeline it looked a bit different: I came in the
picture 3 months later. At first i was a bit reluctant on making friends. As time went on our cool friendship did formed.
The time I realized Jared was a great friend was the stressful time I had to
look for a location for my photography project. At the one location I couldn't
get, I was ready to give up, but Jared was determined not to. So we kept on
looking at WABAM we found a great place. Wrapping this up; Jared sacrificed his
time and resources to help me out when I really needed it. That’s what a good
friend looks like. But the story doesn't end there …
This became especially true when Jared the one day come over
to our house during a free weekend of the course. He got on so well with the
family it was a tiny bit scary. Our dad and Jared just hit it off. That was day
one. Jared to this day says that talk with our dad changed his life. Anyway.
The next time Jared came over he landed up sleeping over. Wow, this was a turn
for the “friendship” he went straight from friend to family member. It was such
a huge leap that the next time he was at the house we weren't even there. He
was there to see my parents! Well we can be honest and say we haven’t had this
sort of experience with friends before.
Jared! You’re a rad lad and a fantastic editor!
