In Loving Memory

Early this morning our strong and loving uncle was promoted into glory with Jesus.

Those of you who know us, know how much our family is a part of our lives, it is a TwinningIt value. Many have fallen in love with my aunt and uncle as they witnessed such a beautiful and blessed marriage, full of an indescribable love.

What words do you use in such a great departure? How do we explain the deep love we felt and the utmost pain our hearts experience as we said our goodbyes?

We can't explain, words fail when emotions seem to run so deep, and although life is fragile, it is still ever changing and carries on; we want to express the fact that this man, our strong and righteous uncle was a man with such a caring, strong and loving, with kindness that astounds the soul.

What we want to express is the honor and gratitude we feel in having him as a part of our lives. He has shown us the strength and great depth of a son loving his parents, of a husband loving his wife and a father loving his children. He has set standards in our family of right living, fearlessness and peace. Things that seem so rare to find. So for these main things we are blessed to have been a part of his life and his life apart of ours.

We will end off with the words he wrote to us back in 2012: "There are a million and one reasons to get out of bed, the main is that you are alive and well. Glory be to God. Bless you"

  1. Exactly. I love those strong words of wisdom your uncle wrote. Get up and do something. Making every moment in and of every day count to the best of our abilities. I am an optimist because of the joy my aunt expressed consistently. It is that joy that lives on in me through everything I experience and do.
    Thanks for this post.
