The Beginning of #TwinsSquared

Over the festive season we got to have an epic opportunity to spend time with another set of twins. You can read our first time hanging with twins here: A Dream for a Day

A close mutual friend dubbed this holiday time as #TwinsSquared.
(If you type this into Instagram you can see some of our pictures together, or like us on Facebook)

Spending time together we were able to experience what it was like to observe a set of twins and not being the ones observed. It was a strange experience for us; we noticed allot of the same habits.

One of the first things we observed at the beginning of our time together was around a lunch table.

Side note: When ordering food for ourselves, we normally order a meal each and split them between the two of us. This way we get to taste the goodness of two meals at no extra cost. Let us tell you now, this is truly wonderful.

Well at this lunch table we did the normal thing and split the meal; but then the oddest thing happened... we weren't the only ones splitting a meal. The twins with us started passing plates in the middle of lunch! We thought: "That's exactly what we do!"

When the lunch was finished and we were beyond satisfied, we discussed this topic further. The girls confirmed that it was as strange for them as it was  strange for us, but with the realization that they do the same things. They told us it was actually nice to see that we practiced the same methods.

Even though this "practice" isn't only done by or limited to twins or siblings - many friends; couples and relatives do the same. However in our experience, out of surprise we've had more people drop the food from their fork rather than pass our plates. So you can understand that it came as a relief to both parties involved in this story that we were not strange or "too out there" (As some have commented.)

The Lunch Table
The oddest thing is seeing other twins do what we do and make us feel as though it is quite normal. It's been very interesting and fun for us. We loved our time together.

The stories don't end here, we will post more of our #TwinsSquared stories as the weeks go on.

Because we haven't posted since last year: Happy New year, may this year be one full of adventure, discovery and fun for all you readers.
